Walt Disney World Resort, also known as Disney World, is a recreation center on the lake near Lake Buena Vista, Orlando, and Kissimmee in Florida and the United States. Opened October 1, 1971, the resort is owned and operated by the department Walt Disney Company, Disney Park, Experience, and Products.

The Florida resort is not within the city limits of Orlando but southwest of downtown Orlando. Most of the resort is in Orange County to the southwest, the rest is in the adjoining Osceola County. The property includes the towns of Lake Buena Vista and Bay Lake which are managed by the Ready Creek Improvement District. At the time of its establishment, the resort occupied about 30,500 acres (48 sq mi; 123 km2). Parts of that property have since been sold or de-annexed, now the land is owned by the Disney-created celebration community. As of 2014, the resort occupies approximately 25,000 acres (39 sq mi; 101 km2).

There are 5 ways to get to Walt Disney World from Orlando Airport (MCO) by bus, taxi, car, shuttle, or Towncar. Take line 111 from Wa Transfer Center to Sea Harbor Drive and Grand Vacation. Take 50 lines on Central Florida Parkway and Sea Harbor Drive to WW Transportation and Ticket CTR 50.

March to May is the best time to visit Orlando, Disney World.
